Audrey has had this week off from school but since we're planning a trip to Florida in March we decided to do a "stay"cation for this break. Rich took today off from work and we decided to do a day trip over to Rhode Island. We've been meaning to do more exploring around us since we're so close to so many places but it hasn't worked out until now. :) We ended up in Newport, RI (a quick 2 hour car ride) to explore a couple of the beautiful mansions along the waterfront. The workmanship and attention to detail that was present so many years ago is just amazing to see. The girls did great (even missing naps) during the self guided headphone tours. We can't wait to go back and visit a few more.
During our visit today we saw "The Breakers" and "Marble House". Unfortunately they don't allow pictures inside the homes but we got a bunch outside even if it was a little drizzly out.
