A beautiful Memorial Weekend!

We stopped by my Aunt Eunie's house Saturday morning to give our condoloences on her dog Angel that she just had to put to sleep.
:( Audrey had drawn her a picture of Angel that she wanted to bring to her and we also got to pick some of her yummy rhubarb! Thanks Eunie!
Of course the other highlight of our visit is the chance to play with the other animals!  Aunt Eunie has a cat, Mugsy, that the girls love to chase and and Mugsy loves to hide in the bushes...can you see her?!  :)
My cousin, Angie, has a dog, Kaia, that is SOO great with the girls.  She'll let them do pretty much everything to her even let Audrey call her "Kyle" once in awhile!  Ha!  ;)

I don't know if you can tell in the pictures above but Lauren's dress has a bunch of apples all over and Audrey's skirt just has one apple.  She was a tad disappointed that she didn't have as many apples that Lauren did.  And so starts the comparisons...  I was hoping to have a few more years until that happened.  ;)

After naps Rich and the girls tested out our community pool for the first time this season.  They made it there just before it started pouring rain and hailing.  We are sure ready for lots of pool time this summer!
Sunday afternoon we met our friends Jason, Lisa and Jack at Edinborough Park - a great indoor playland for kids.  Everyone had a blast and we will definitely be visiting there again.  We ended the night at Fuddrucker's for dinner.  :)

Monday was kind of rainy off and on so when we headed outside that morning Audrey spotted a worm!  She was so excited to check it out and decided it was hungry and needed to "feed" it some grass.  After awhile I told her we should probably transplant him back to the grass so he wouldn't die.  Lauren decided the worm might need some more water too...hope we didn't drown him.  We never did see him again.  :/

All in all it was a nice long weekend and we thank all our military past and present for this wonderful freedom we have.
